What is Honey & Hive Weekend?

Our Honey & Hive weekend is an immersive experience, designed to introduce you to all the fun things about bees and to learn about Hemlock Neversink’s bee colony.

Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend at Hemlock Neversink with our annual Honey & Hive Retreat, a tribute to the Queen Bee and the vital role of pollinators in sustaining our world. In honor of World Bee Day, this immersive weekend invites guests to connect with nature through the lens of the hive.

Now in its third year, Honey & Hive has become a signature gathering, bringing together education, sensory exploration, and a touch of wonder. Guests will have the opportunity to meet resident beekeepers Bill Boyle and Donna DeFalco, whose passion and expertise offer a rare glimpse into the intricate world of bees. Through curated experiences, tastings, and hands-on moments, they guide a thoughtful deep dive into the life of the hive and the extraordinary impact of pollinators.

With a few new surprises woven throughout the weekend, this year’s retreat promises to be both enriching and unforgettable. A sweet celebration of nature, nourishment, and the spirit of community.

All guests are welcome to join the special programming for the weekend at no additional cost. Please see here for all of the many things that are always included in your stay with us, in addition to the special activities for this weekend package. More information on rooms can be found here. Simply select the room of your choice for Friday, May 8th through Monday, May 11th and join us. Please note that if you are interested in the intensive 4 day Beekeeping course offered over this weekend, an add-on with additional cost is required for participation. More information below.
